Battery Module Diagnostic User Guide

Modified on Thu, 29 Feb at 6:27 PM

Latest version of Lithionics Battery distributed NeverDie BMS allows additional troubleshooting and datalogging at the battery module level, in addition to traditional datalogging at the battery pack level. This is accomplished by adding a status LED and a CANBus data port at each battery module. This guide describes how to collect and interpret the data at the module level.

CANBus data port is used to network battery modules with the main NeverDie BMS starting with version v9, which introduced a concept of IonBus network. However, for troubleshooting purposes it’s possible to connect to individual battery modules using a CAN-USB Data Logger device, which can be purchased from Lithionics Battery.
