On December 23, 2024 Lithionics engineering has released the updated firmware version v2.1.11 and v2.0.11 for batteries with Internal BMS.
This is a minor maintenance release addressing occasional issues in certain rare conditions, but would be beneficial to install on all batteries to prevent future occurance of these issues. Please follow guidelines in this article on how to update battery firmware How to update Firmware in Lithionics BMS
Change Log Details:
- resolved occasional random BMS resets by increasing Bluetooth TX buffer size and timing. In a few rare cases customers observed unexpected BMS resets, causing SOC to jump to a previously saved value.
- improved SOC adjustment logic by using average cell voltage instead of lowest cell. This change increases accuracy of NeverDie Reserve triggering at 10% SOC.
- improved startup behavior to prevent power loss in case of MCU reset. In a case of internal BMS software reset this prevents a nuicance of a momentary loss of power.
- rolled back corrections for large >20% SOC discrepancy due to unacceptable precision margin leading to customer complaints. In a case of significant SOC drift between multiple parallel batteries, trying to adjust SOC by cell voltage could make it even worse due to minor differences in cell voltages between parallel batteries. It's best to charge parallel batteries to 100% to remove the SOC drift.
